Never seen fake 1966 coins before listed

EBay seller
Wayne's Coin World (1034)

He does at least say they are “filler coins” just thought I’d make members aware.
I really don’t like these “fake / filler” eBay sellers.

On a side note; I thought since the round 50cent is still legal tender (spendable) he may find himself getting done if it was reported.

Damn that 50c round looks very convincing!
Crowns and florins have had fakes in the past but never heard of fake 1966 50c rounds.
Perhaps these are all new fakes coming out of China.

Ebay should be charged for allowing so many fakes being listed and sold.
Even if the listing says 'copy' or 'filler' or whatever, obviously people are buying these to con the next person they try to sell to, not to put it in their collection album as a 'filler'! Easy and cheap enough to get genuine versions of these coins even if in poor condition.

He does make it very clear that they are fakes and contain no silver, so is not trying to deceive anyone.

Does anybody really believe these coins are "TO VALUABLE TO GET NOW" and "AND WILL FILL THE MISSING SLOT IN YOUR COLLECTION" ?

Somebody down the line will get ripped off - seller knows this and doesn't care.

I don't bother with ebay any more because of so many listings trying to scam people with fakes or selling fakes so others can scam.

Their complicant in facilitating fraud because... It profits them (both the sellers, and ebay)

Its not like their arent methods they could leverage to flag/identify (Regex, AI or HIRE people [OMG]), assess and peanalise sellers of such (warning > increased ongoing sellers premium > revoke account) and they obviously do this for...
Weapons, Drugs, PII, counterfit USD... etc.

Honestly nobody buying filler coins to be used as a filler, fully expect all "fillers" to be onsold elsewhere.

Cops should do a sting, get media attention, and then group action lawsuit against ebay to enact harsher resale practices.

Whats the phase: "Den of theves"?
Bloody snakes everywhere.

People buy imitation or repro stuff all the time. I have a fake Rolex, looks great, but I'm not paying $20k to buy a genuine one.

It's free enterprise. Up to the buyer whether they want it or not.

...but he is selling (a) counterfeit coin(s) knowingly.

"Their complicant" - please explain what you mean...
