2x 18ct (75%) gold engagement ring pair set. VS2, G, 1/3ct princess cut diamond in one.
10.4 grams weight
14.5mm inner diameter
I've taken a photo of the original note that came from the jeweler/dealer on the stone.
Translation:
"Princess (cut)
G (colour)
VS2 or better (clarity)
Shoulder of stone covered by bezel
30-35 points (weight - 0.3-0.35 ct)"
Purchased these off Steve (Aurora et luna) years ago at a stacker meet.
So I've put $650-670 on the spot gold content.
I only have access to a 2013 Rapaport sheet for pear shape diamond (wholesale price chart) which puts this stone attributes at $15US per point value which translated to around $700AUD for this stone. However princess cut has more value then a pear cut, plus diamond prices have gone up since 2013.
Asking a kilo silver cast bar swap f2f; or
$1300 including express postage with SOD
Can f2f in Sydney CBD or at the Sydney silver meetup.
Would polish up nicely for reuse. Take advantage of the workmanship value plus below wholesale diamond deal. As a rule of thumb you can triple the Rapaport/spot price for brand new retail price, so these would be $4,000+ if brand new, retail and that is what you could insure for.
