1886 Silver Bar?

I’ve recently stumbled upon one of my Silver bars when I used to be a fanatic with collecting all types of metal. Since I can’t find the price anywhere, I was wondering if anybody would know how much a 1886 $5 Silver certificate (Silver Bar) would go up for. it has a Morgan emblem on the front and text stating “payable to the bearer on demand” on the back.

Sure thing! I just found a very similar bar sell for $275 except it looked a lot newer than what I have. I can’t upload a picture as of this moment because the file is too big for this websites servers (for some reason) but I found the link for the sold Silver Bar. Take a look:

This bar would generally sell for bullion value here in the US (plus a buck or two over depending on where sold). It was not minted in 1886, but is a recreation of a $5 note that existed back then that is worth quite a bit.

APMEX has some 4oz bars that are replicas of the $100 bill. They go for a bit over spot due to their artistic value.
