$1700 AU WILL BE HERE AT END OF DAY

Oh wow, I could sell some in my SMSF and maybe even break even. Shame it is in AUD which doesn't seem to be worth much outside Australia.
 
We just cracked $1700 AUD again. This time it looks like it might stick for awhile.
 
Disagree. Gold just broke resistance at $1200 USD so it is a lot different to yesterday. The $A will fluctuate here and there but its at a pretty average level now. In fact the $A is higher than it was yesterday, so it's not really due to dollar fluctuations at all.

Agreed. Far more significant due to the stronger dollar this time.

Not sure why the AUD suddenly strengthened, but I have a hunch that when China opens on Monday we may well see the AUD plummet and gold in AUD rise by a significant amount.

Just don't quote me on any of those predictions :)
