Toning on edge of silver panda

I had the same problem with a slabbed 96, I sent it back to NGC and they scrubbed it up... no charge. Just email them first and explain the problem, I got a very quick response inviting me to send the coin back for examination. I really can't fault their service

    NGC quality control problem??

That's a shame, MCM have pulled the item from eBay. Although I'm now totally confused (no change there) The NGC site shows the correct coin in their photo, yet the eBay listing obviously shows a completely different coin with the same number...

    NGC quality control problem??

Spot the error: Is this a MCM exclusive label or a NGC quality control problem? :) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-Chinese-1-20-oz-Gold-Panda-Small-Date-5Y-NGC-MS69-Mint-State-69-SKU27619-/141000397400?pt=US_World_Coins&hash=item20d4475258

The only profitable silver investment I have made.

+1 to this statement... There's a great section on this forum that discusses Pandas, whilst other sections cater for/ discuss other Numi coins, they're well worth a read.

Importation Vat on numismatic coins into the UK is not 20%

Thanks for the info on the 5% import tax. I've bought quite a few graded coins from MCM in the USA and have never been charged 20% tax by the post office when they arrived in the UK, much to my surprise (Purchases include one or two graded ASEs). So I've been curious for a while why I was...

    2001D "small d variety"

Congrats to Silverstar... that must have been a really good day when the grades came through, and he discovered that he had a new variety.

    2001D "small d variety"

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but I deliberately stayed away from the forums over Christmas, too much Panda temptation that impacts on the bank account :) Anyway, just catching up on what I missed, and spotted the small D discovery & debate.. I have to take my hat off to JC, Silverstar1 and...

    [EBAY] Noticeable Listings

I'm not sure if this is the best time of year to be auctioning the only 1oz AU Frosted 2000 coin to ever grade MS70. 140898745847 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-NGC-MS70-2000-1oz-panda-gold-coin-/140898745847?pt=US_World_Coins&hash=item20ce383df7) 1.5 days to go and it's only at $3700...

    Two chinese 10 yuan coins

^ quite right, my bad... I see them listed as White Storks, common cranes, etc. Here's an ebay link for one labelled as 'common crane', even though the COA says Red-crowned Crane. 380488155245

    Two chinese 10 yuan coins

Nice endangered species coins. I've no idea about the one in the middle, but the Deer and Common crane are low mintage, about 7K'ish (I've read somewhere). Pricewise:- I've only seen one of each on fleabay in the past and the Deer was the higher priced of the two (although the common crane I...

    [EBAY] Noticeable Listings

^ Me paranoid?.. what!?.. who said that? :) I really like 2001/2002 design.. I can't seem to collect enough of them, hence I notice when the price jumps. They do seem to be a lot scarcer than some far more expensive Pandas.. so I'll keep snapping them up whenever I can (the 2002 is the cheapest...

    [EBAY] Noticeable Listings

Looking at those two 2001D auctions, it looks like they both had a common bidder [n***f(49)], who started bidding when the auction hit the $140-150 mark. It's probably nothing more than someone desperate for a 2001D, or ...? There certainly has been some strange auctions recently...

Modern Coin Mart Auctions: Shill Ebay Bidders?

Hi Hayden of ModernCoinMart, welcome to the forum. After this weekends outage here at SilverStackers I'm sure GP would welcome another site sponsor? Plus some of us aren't so keen on your Panda and other custom NGC labels, would it be possible for you to offer more Pandas with the vanilla...

Modern Coin Mart Auctions: Shill Ebay Bidders?

This is why I prefer to snipe right at the end of an auction.. I got burnt a while ago by someone retracting their bid after they had worked out what my max bid was (The auction had nothing to do with coins). Plus someone must really want the coin if they place a maximum bid of $15k on a coin...

2012 World Money Fair in Philly...Release of 2012 ANA Silver Panda

^ Congrats Thor122, I also picked one up for 111. For those who bought at a higher price, I'm sure once this glut of coins has been pushed out prices will increase again... it's a nice looking medal.
