Something a little different compared to my usual stack... a local jeweller made up a batch of 1g and 2.5g gold ‘blobs’ and I picked up a few of them. All .999 standard gold, it’s amazing just how small gold actually is at that size when it’s not pressed down into a minted bar or coin!

They definitely gone, to be honest I thought they’d have sold out long ago. I picked up my stash of them not long after they came out for around $270-$280 each from memory. I don’t think they’ll appreciate a special premium because of it being a kook, but they’re certainly more expensive now...

I see it as a healthy retracement. It was going up at an unsustainable rate without some sort of pullback. As I said the other day, nothing ever goes up in a straight line, so this could be a long term positive for a sustained increase. Plus it’s a potential good buying opportunity as well...

That, or articles that do briefly mention it, to then immediately suggest they sell it since it’ll be “at its top” and to not get caught selling on the drop. And how “volatile” it is compared to stocks :D

Remember folks, nothing ever goes up in a straight line. A pullback will not only happen, but is healthy to have before the next leg up. Cools heads should prevail here.
