Perth Lunar Series: 1/2oz vs 1oz

Hi all, just wanted to get some opinions from fellow stackers and collectors. I’ve been wanting to start collecting the Perth lunar series sets now, but am trying to decide between going for the 1oz which is more popular but common, or 1/2oz sets with less demand but lower mintages. My initial...

I have determined the perfect stacker stack

i'm a relatively new stacker, but my strategy for my stack is more or less: 10oz bars (i really like perth mint here) and 1oz gov mint rolls (ASE mainly) for weight kooks and lunars for flipping as a collector, i'm also interested in completing the lunar/kook sets myself, but thats more for me...

    10oz Perth Mint Bar Underweight

I used a normal digital kitchen scale. I suspected it might not be as accurate so I tried weighing my silver coins and it was correctly showing 31g. Am not so much worried about it being off 5g, just worried it might be a fake bar or something.

    10oz Perth Mint Bar Underweight

Hi all, I recently bought an old 10oz Perth Mint silver bar (Type F) off another stacker. However after weighing the bar at home, it's showing up to be 306g instead of the expected 311g. Is this considered normal for old hand pours such as these? Or should I be worried about it being fake? I...

Blue Ink Spot on 1992 Kook

I collect kooks as part of a full set. I accept that the older coins are not going to come in mint condition, but marks like these I find hard to accept personally. As a collector, it takes away from the aesthetic appeal, and makes it a lot harder to sell it off in the future shld I wish to...

Blue Ink Spot on 1992 Kook

:p haha my mind was probably confused with the square capsule. No idea why I would say corner as well now after having some time to calm down.

Blue Ink Spot on 1992 Kook

No it wasn't. But the seller has offered to refund me so no issues there, though he said this was a common issue with Perth Mint (really?). Just disappointed really, and now afraid of it appearing on my other kooks or lunars.

Blue Ink Spot on 1992 Kook

Hi everyone, I just received a 1992 Kook in original square capsule I got off eBay today in the mail, and found a huge blue spot on the corner of the coin. Is this normal for such coins? Feels alarming that our semi numis can develop milk spots along with blue ink spots.

    Kookaburras: Specimen vs Bullion

Hi all, Sorry if this question has been asked and answered before, was not able to really find the answer I was looking for aside from the generic Perth Mint site which didn't really answer the specifics for kook sets. I know that there isn't really a difference between the specimen sets from...
