I agree that this image was not a good choice for the first release but it's pretty obvious they were going for a boost from the movie. As far as initial sales, I got mine when the site showed 600 or so available on the second day I think, it now shows 293 after a week. It will be interesting...

So why the mintage of 1499? Is that because it is one less than each of the PM Gods of Olympus coins? If you watch the video, they flash through a lot of images in the same basic style. Could very well be a preview of the future coins? Was wondering if maybe Scottsdale was selling these on...

Not sure I can hang in there for 10 years at nearly $200 each for 60 coins. But first coin in a new series, 1499 limited mintage, number etched on the coin, attractive finish? Yeah, I'm in for one!

Not sure if it would be considered a series, but there are several others of this mother of pearl coins that look similar. All very expensive. One is a zeppelin and another is the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Great idea for the CML, recycle them all by covering up the nasty spots! They would probably find a way to show through even that, very persistent little buggers.

Many of us started by buying only one item. Soon you discover that there is a world of options and the single item stack starts to look pretty boring.

I think I got one. Got to the order processing page, watched it spin for about 10 minutes. Then got a message, error, you will be returned to the summary page shortly. Another 10 minutes and it kicked me to page that said "unavailable". So back to new releases page, still showing as...

When they do show up, will they pop up on the first page of the new releases? Took me 40 minutes to get that far, don't want to do anything but hit refresh, if I go off on another page I may never get back!

On a related note if I may, anyone know anything about the 2014 Aztec Calendar kilo? 2014 is about shot and no mention of this one anywhere. Maybe there won't be one and they have ended the series or the mint is having issues with the kilo coins, last priority to produce?

I am also on the subscription plan and get two of each. Mine have all been great, no issues at all. But if I did get one that wasn't right it would be going back.
