    2014 The time to buy

"Silver performs well when the economy is not"..........well, that may be so in theory. I think you'll find things don't always work out that way in practice!

Royal Silver Company CEO Brian McConnell

"Fair is fair. You invested with me and deserve the best treatment" Good grief, is he serious? If it wasn't for the fact that many decent and honest folk are suffering greatly because of their involvement with this company..... that would be funny.

Greece will need new bailout, says Germany's Schaeuble

Well..... I suppose we already knew this would happen, but interesting to see it being openly stated nonetheless. Germany's finance minister Wolfgang Schaeuble has said for the first time that Greece will need another bailout to plug a forthcoming funding gap. His comments come at a...

    2012 Sovereigns

The 'special design' years will always carry a premium. For example, a 2005 full sovereign auction on Ebay ended tonight for 260 plus postage. You can buy a brand new 2013 sov for 213. As for what years to go for....it's your choice really. Do you want to collect bullion sovs at best price...

New to the game of bullion and a big hello.

Welocme to our virtual world, klacey. Don't forget..... Tuesdays are SS BBQ night, and Friday nights are poker time at GP's mansion. Advice? Well, as a UK stacker I would be thinking more about gold than silver right now. Unless that is, you can get silver in to the UK without 20% VAT. I...

Importation Vat on numismatic coins into the UK is not 20%

silvertrader - seriously, don't you think that 'the powers that be' will come down on this quicker than a chicken vindaloo passes through a donkey? If you're getting away with it at the moment then good on you, well done. But it isn't going to last.

Importation Vat on numismatic coins into the UK is not 20%

Photonaware's previous post sums up the situation perfectly. If you think you're going to get charged 5% VAT on silver in the UK.....think again. It seems some people have been fortunate here and there, but it's only a 'blip' based upon an inaccurate understanding of what is bullion and what...

1 kilo coins vs 1 ounce coin ? (newbie stacker)

As 'hobwell' stated above.....beware Value Added Tax @20% plus Import Duty, plus Customes handling charge, plus Royal Mail tax collection charges. In my experience you are taking one hell of a gamble. Thought about gold ....zero VAT rated? Just a thought.

The Royal Silver Club carry on from a while ago.

Hotel 46 It can sometimes be difficult on a forum such as this one to know how serious or tongue in cheek a posting is intended to be. I'm a peace loving, easy going guy. I write the following in a laid back (in an armchair if you like) kind of way. It's got nothing at all to do with letting...

The Royal Silver Club carry on from a while ago.

Forgive me for asking, but what was the final outcome of that Royal Silver Club carry on from last year...or was it even the year before? I remember a few folk from this forum having trouble getting back their money, and some of their coins not turning up etc. One chap in particular (was it...

Lurkalot reporting for duty UK based. As for 'Ladybird'. she was attacked by a feral marauding haggis while out walking her dog on the wild and boggy Scottish highlands. Those who came to try and help said her final words were something like"it's all in PVC-free tubes under the creaky...
