That is the standard caveat which appears on all of the UK mint confirmations. I am sure our orders have gone through.

Just bought 2 coins. Love the design. What's more, it will come with a new portrait of the Queen on the obverse. Mintage of 1000 makes it an attractive piece to collect. UK Mint piedfort coins always sell out and are hard to find in the secondary market.

the mintage of the coins is 6500 each. The mintage of the special packaging (i.e. the transporter) for the 2 coins set is 1500.

The fact that only the 2-coin set with special packaging is sold out whilst the individual coins are still available, leads one to believe that it is the packaging that is in demand and not so much the coins.

Going by the photos, the coin looks stunning. Now lets just hope it comes in equally stunning and attractive packaging. BTW, the sample coins do not bear the COA number. I wanted where that will be engraved.

"Sold one of my proofs on eBay: 217.00. A far cry from 500.00. LOL. I think prices will come down to about 150.00 once the market is flooded." With just 500 proof coins, the market cannot be flooded. Most people will hold on to the coin pending future releases. 150 would be grossly undervalued.

If I may draw a comparison. I thought the Niue snakebite coin turned out pretty close to its "sketch" with the "details / shading" and all.

First in series and low mintage (be it proof or BU), cannot go wrong. Already going for US$129. Those who bought at $89, are already making almost 50% profit. Now we only hope the quality is up to par.
