Don't intend adding the 2013 kook to my collection. Trying to imagine the thoughts of the early series designers when looking at what they produced compared to now

    Materion discontinuing silver stacker bars

Also not surprising as I bought my last SS 10oz cheaper than a Perth Mint cast 10oz.Could not fathom much profit for anyone as costs to machine (even in a CNC mill) ,plus recover the swarfe, import the machined bar to Aust then sell at a margin .( must admit my dealer did drop the fact that they...

    Black Swan event

Any china watcher will understand claws comments. Very well written and thanks. Chinas biggest concern at present however is water. My thoughts are much the same as all above posts. PMs being such a real tangible asset. Still trying to imagine what a million dollars worth of binary code feels like in the hand, not as cool as a couple of kilos of Silver that's for sure.

The one on the right has an illegible "liberty" on the headband. Not sure if any reputable mint in the world would produce a coin this poor

    What to buy Tonight

If you look closely at the kooks they look more like an azure kingfisher, the wing spread actually looks more like a shag or cormorant drying it's wings on a rock..Have you ever seen a real kookaburra look like that?? Koalas look like they have deformed arm!! Now lunar dragons look like REAL...

Is PM always the cheapest place to buy 10oz bars?

Just to stir the pot.. Perth has the reputation of being the most boring city in Aust,( Not much night life,no Clubs,Pokies etc). But wait,we've got a MINT....just walk straight in,talk to the nice ladies at the bullion desk( who have just enough strength to open the safe door) and whoopee buy...

Silver is not a good investment anymore

Excellent topic stackers..Always interesting ,informative and often humerous. As a new nooby,I can learn much from these forums. All I wish to add is that silver is definitely a long term (waiting game). Mr 6% would do well to research the metal itself and from that interpret where it could go...
