Would you accept this from a dealer?

Yeah, that plastic film can't really be stuck back down once it's peeled.

Would you accept this from a dealer?

Right, there's no mention of it being a buyback.

Would you accept this from a dealer?

EDIT: Have received plenty of advice on this topic. Learnt something and I'm fine with the purchase now. Thanks to all who commented :) I just received a PM gold bar in the mail from a dealer. The tamper-proof lining is peeling pretty badly around the edges and the packaging is very roughed up...

Reason's why you invest/ Also nice collection of silver.

I think of stacking as: - a way to save a portion of my excess income (quite liquid, beats inflation and is going to stop me from impulse purchases); - potential insurance against an extreme economic event; - potential source of capital after a big stock market crash; - a hobby; - a nice gift...

    Survey..whom prefers 3 x 10oz over 1kg Silver?

There are so many arguments for and against each particular form - so a bit of diversity doesn't hurt. I generally stack low premium bars and then pick up kooks and lunars at new issue. It seems like the most liquid + commonly traded forms on this forum are PM 10oz bars, PM or PAMP kilo bars...

Australia to lose the $100 note

'The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.' Rand

Right Petey, thanks for clarifying. I remembered there was a reason I didn't go with the ETF of wholesale. Not enough capital lol.

Oh yeah, and like some other members pointed out - don't buy into the Mike Maloney narrative too much.

Complete nOOb - Need an answer to a very basic question!

Perth mint bullion coins attract a higher premium than the US/Canadian generic coins because of aspects like changing designs, lowish mintages, artistic quality, etc. They are also kind of exotic to US buyers. The ASEs and Maples are bread and butter coins and they are produced on a massive...

Right time for entering share market?

You have to have over $500,000 invested for the ETF. The one I invest in is a managed fund, but the fees are as low as you can get. 0.90% for the first $50K and then decreasing to $0.35 on balance over $100K. That's extremely low. I think at Colonial I was paying over 2% for one fund, PLUS 4% at...

Right time for entering share market?

I always go by the old rule: "Time in market is more important than timing the market." If you invest a regular amount each month you will be dollar cost averaging, so if you start investing now when the market is high, you will be buying more stocks. When the market is low you will be buying...

Some nice silver I found in South Korea

I know. I can't say I've ever seen a 1kg bar like that before. Usually they are blobs. The closest thing I've seen would be a PAMP 500g minted bar.

Right time for entering share market?

Yes, I hadn't heard of them either until I did some research. They were the first index fund in the world and they have a trillion plus market cap in the US. There are a few such funds in the US but I think Vanguard is the only one in Australia at the moment that you can make a direct investment...
