    1930 Penny. Just another Fake

GP your right, in fact there are so many things wrong with that one, I I wanted to sell a 25K coin, I'd take far better pictures for a start, even the coloration doesn't match the wear shown on the crown Cheers Alfie

    1887 Melbourne Shield Sovereign

I reackon it's an EF+ The Reverse is far better than the obverse, few bagging marks on obverse head, the fields are nice and clear. Biggest detraction is the obverse rim knocks Very nice coin Cheers Alfie

what would a gold confiscation in america mean to australia

I thought the last attempt at gold confiscation in the USA (1933) was a bit of a failure? Does anyone know the total amount of gold seized? In any event given we live in the information age, I would be surprised if they tried to confiscate it when they only need to tax it like they do in the UK...

    Newcrest Mining (NCM)

On Ya SS Very nice buy, on another note, what do you think about their debt position, also what do you (or anyone else) think the companies strong points are? Cheers Alfie

Why The Drop in SLR today

.87c down 6.45% looks like profit taking amongst a mixed day in the gold stocks. NCM is getting a right flogging, down another 6.9% today, they carry a fair bit of debt too, hoping they turn soon for all the holders Cheers Alfie

    QE and Inflation

Hi All Been wondering why, given all the "money printing" (or is that electronic money creation), why there is no real inflation being seen My question is, where is all this money, who owns it and when will it flow into the everyday market eg price of an egg or your wage? Cheers Alfie

Why The Drop in SLR today

Hi SS I read that part of the thread, it seems the hedge book is closed, so my question was more about finding info going forward and what percentage will be locked in if they do Also, what do you reckon (or anyone else for that matter) about my other question on the two mines? Cheers Alfie

Why The Drop in SLR today

Hey SS I read the article (written in 2002, he was onto it) With regard two companies, only the earnings percentage is truly amazing in the high cost mine, the dollars profit would be less than low cost mine Is this example done to illustrate that the market looks at earnings percentage growth...

    High Aussie Dollar and exporters

This sounds like a dislike of Keynesian style of economics, stimulating parts of an economy artificially, If it is, I totally agree, my question is more about doing what other countries are currently doing (inflating through various means creating bubbles further down an economic cycle) I like...
