One thing I like bout the pre-2012 Brits is that they tone nicely... Most of the time they turn pale gold. And best of all they never never spot! Too bad they switched to fine silver for 2013 onwards.

PM does care about spot, but for these collectors coins spot is less of a concern as the initial sales price is already way above spot. Nowadays at spot silver $18-$20 these numismatic silver coins tend to be released at $80-120 range. Last time when spot was much lower new releases were below...

in Singapore usually premiums are charged in percentage... the higher the spot price the higher the premium while retaining the same % above spot. but at times when spot drops drastically dealers will attempt to bump up the premiums...

they come in tubes without individual capsules, thus the condition of these coins are... not as pristine as Lunars, Kooks, Koalas. I have seen the coins in real, the strike is pretty weak and the coins tend to have scratches especially the polished areas... and they spot easily too.

based on my experience selling and buying modern numismatics on eBay... MS70 fetch the highest price MS69 and OMP are sold at similar price bracket MS68 and below pretty much priced below OMP If MS70s are just slightly more than the MS69, by all means get the 70. :)
