http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_tax#Countries_that_have_flat_tax_systems Half the countries I've never heard of. The other half I wouldn't want to live in. :P

NGC Casino - my first gamble

I think I just mixed up the LD/SD... never really good at that stuff despite looking for so long at Pandas. We'll get the opinions of fellow panda stackers :D

NGC Casino - my first gamble

Firstly, many thanks to jc888888888 for helping me grade my coins. Wouldn't have been possible without his help! Thought I'd share what I got after sending these to NGC (no NCS; the NCS ones are still being evaluated). No 70s but still a pretty respectable result: 7 x 68s 15 x 69s As I...

    Ebay Import Charges

I'm gonna guess this is a rant about the Paypal FX rate which is 3.5% above the 'market price' (eg. XE.com, spot price). The math makes sense with the first post's information.

    Fishball where are you??

No 70s from my first batch... a few coins left but doubt I'd get a 70. The results weren't bad at all though, tons of 69s and a few 68s :) Having said that, I actually got the LD/SD mixed up on a few coins... NGC corrected me :P Bit surprised I mixed up the LD/SD designations considering I've...

Advice needed for large PayPal transaction, possible scam?

If you see Gumtree and Paypal together in a same sentence 99.9% chance it's a scam. For all Gumtree transactions you must F2F only.

    The unwritten rule of trading.

COD, Escrow or F2F are the only ways I would buy something from somebody with 0 feedback. I just consider it a trading rule for myself to reduce the chances of being scammed. Granted having 10 feedback doesn't exactly mean the user is 100% legit but life's too short to be worried about...

Why the old bars are numbered and new ones are not?

The guys making the bars wanted to shave some metal off and didn't want people to be able to trace it back to them later on what with numbers and shit.

    Panda Storage

I used to keep in mooncake box too LOL. Now I keep loose change in mooncake box instead of Pandas though. I wonder if the mooncake box helps with this. The box would oxidize before the coins and protect it. Maybe. Which reminds me, I forgot to eat mooncake this year :(

Is it actually Silver? Looks a bit too shiny like steel ?

What to do with this coin..

NCS or a refund would be the only choices imo. You wouldn't be able to sell that at a very good price due to the spots. There is no guarantee NCS would work but they have a pretty decent track record.

    Graded RSC Rounds??

NGC only grades medals from official mints and even then not all mints and not all medals. There is slim to no chance of RSC rounds being graded by NGC. PCGS is even more stringent in my experience towards rounds so the chances are even less likely imho. Other companies aren't worth going with.

    Today I bought.... "Panda Style"

Very nice jc... super rare set and in 69 grade too. I don't think most of us would even see one in real life let alone own one set :)

Best 1oz panda below 150 USD?

Do this i reckon. Also to save on shipping and avoid taxes in Malaysia try and find somebody you can trust to buy the whole set and ship to you with a declared gift value of $100.

Inflation news - going backwards with a boom

^^^ this. So much this. Can't believe I'm agreeing with renovator but here you go. I mean if you don't like property for moral or logical reasons then there's still plenty of ways to get some cashflow with your savings.

    Electricity Demand Declining Since 2009

You only get prosecuted if you exaggerate Carbon Tax's effect on the increase in prices. Anyway I read that article and it felt like an advertisement for them more than anything. There aren't any clear numbers as to how much power they use or how the tax actually affects them apart from one...
