UBS gold bars are nothing special, Argor Heraeus makes them. Smaller ones are actually much more practical, stackable an less prone to damage. I doubt that you will get one dollar more for the ones in cards.

You don't buy pandas in order to sell them for gold/silver value only, if that is your plan, there are many other options out there.

PMV is nice, I use it a lot but you really have to understand the concept behind it. Some people think you can throw anything on it and it will show if it's gold/silver/... It's very useful and fast for 999+ gold and silver coins and bars. Anything less pure, not so much. Jewelry - useless.

I do pretty much the same, I keep buying/selling silver. Every free ounce of silver counts, I don't suppose spot can go under zero. :D

The less you touch them (even with gloves) and clean them the better. Just leave it alone. Most people can't do it.

I don't think that the Chinese are interested in paper silver, you would probably have to ship physical.

That could also happen at the shop where you get the coins or anywhere in the supply line.. they also use humans. :D I don't think we need to worry, but since I do own the verifier, I check all the coins/bars that I get from any source. No fakes so far.

I can't find any kilo silver bars in that topic. But 1oz bars.. luckily they are not really popular here in Europe.

It could be rare, but who really collects 1000+oz bars? I don't think its possible to sell something like that over spot, but I could be wrong. Where I am from, people will gladly give me old bars in exchange for a new, shiny ones of same weight and even add some money.

Got these beauties today, Swiss Bank Corporation is not really rare, it serves more for size comparison. gussa is very hard to find. Extensive googling only found me one example and it didn't have the Volksbank counterstamp on it. Interesting size and 999,7 puritiy...

Send them a picture and they will add it, they did it with my Johnson Matthey, it's nice having your own bar on allengelhard. :)
