    2020 Collapse

Maybe China like Australia never really had a problem with mild Covid. There's a pretty clear link between Covid getting out of control and piss poor leadership. I was reading last week from the US Center for Disease Control that the earliest RNA matches India's covid. Probable path is India to...

    Let's talk AUD!

Of course but its a shit load easier when you no longer have to pretend independence, power is concentrated and transparency is even less.

    Let's talk AUD!

MMT is about merging treasury and central banks and removing indepdence therefore USD keep falling (oversupply of money and losing international confidence) Medium term AUD up because of USD and very strong economy compared to most countries. True but in fairness to Abe is was only temporary...

    Wrong Time to Sell .....

Depends on the metal I think. I know of a lot of people including me who have sold their silver for gold this year. All the silver I have left is proof or graded. If I'm looking for more metals exposure in 2021 it's probably in under hyped platinum.

    IT BEGINS !!

I'm not sure if Saylor is an idiot or genius. He's basically engineered a 2x leveraged ETF in record time and run rings around the regulators. I'm not actually convinced he's doing this all himself.

    Gumtree Scam 1oz gold coin.Beware

+your eyes Good post 66, no test is perfect including conductivity and xray . In the last month I have 2 new gold and 1 platinum coins from eBay. Under spot, one by a significant margin. Honestly though if I hadn't been looking specifically for these coins I wouldn't waste time saving.a few...

    IT BEGINS !!

12? This time it's different.... Probably is actually. Probably too many of the highest high profile fund managers talking about Bitcoin as part of hedging as the US dollar loses reserve status and world moves beyond having one dominant currency.

    Platinum

Premiums on Perth mint platinum coins are almost the same as gold. Ainslie and ABC. I don't remember pt being so relatively inexpensve. What am I missing here. I'm genuinely looking for reasons not to buy....

2021 Gold Roos at bullion now

I paid 11.2% including shipping. 1/20s are 45% not including shipping. I definitely a coin person but this solves a few of my problems with gold shrapnel.

2021 Gold Roos at bullion now

$91 today. $85 last week. 399 sold. 101 remaining. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/254504657154 Perth have been clearing out all sorts. Double dragon 1oz proof was $60 for days but now bumped back to $120. They are manipulating Ebay's sort by Best Match.

    IT BEGINS !!

Most likely Bitcoin hangs around 18000-19000 for a while. Any wicks down will be bought by Greyscale or Microstrategies quasi ETF. When Bitcoin ticks over 25000-30000 then flick over to Ethereum and most hyped altcoins like Ripple, Chainlink and Polkadot. Let's see how well this post ages...

2021 Gold Roos at bullion now

I prefer coins. Although not easy to justify 20x 1/20 being $700-800 more expensive than 31x 1g.

2021 Gold Roos at bullion now

Why buy 1/20 or 1/10? Perth Mint has been selling 1g minted for spot + 10% (PM was advertising a voucher on Ebay's homepage)

Platinum price decline: to invest now or not?

Pt premiums are less than silver today for the same dollar amount. Looks to be better than silver both fundamentally and technically.

    IT BEGINS !!

Are metals really a safe harbour? This type of asset inflation is usually followed by deflation.

    $200 Koala price

Before Covid only the glider and devil had a numismatic premium above bullion price and of those uncirculated had higher premium than proof. No. If anything 1981 and 1987 are harder to move.

    IT BEGINS !!

You're welcome. I can't say I'm as confident in metals as I once was. Normally this is the week I would buy but the opportunity cost of holding metals is too high.

    IT BEGINS !!

Open interest in gold and bitcoin contracts is suggestive of money that might have gone to gold instead going to bitcoin. Personally seeing the value of my crypto recently flipping greater than my metals suggests the same: crypto taking metal's market share.

What is a gold sovereign worth?

Of course??? Not in my experience. Private secondary market sales on or about dealer buyback price. Experienced collectors know where to check prices and adjust for their own costs. Public secondary market sales are higher but can't really take these prices at face value...

    $200 Koala price

Before Covid price for these on Ebay was between -5% and spot. It was unusual to see prices above spot except for 1990s UNC coins.
