I personally like the kook design with the shape of Australia in the background. Because one day, there will be a world government and former Australia may just be a state or part of (distant memory). The re-strikes are best bang for buck. Earlier kooks will eventually be harder to buy and premiums will soar in value as years past. Simple case of supply and demand. I think 2006 had the lowest mintage (76,943?). Look at a combination of low mintage, good value (low premium over spot), and lastly design.

WOW!! That's an impressive collection of Kooks. I have just saved the photo for inspiration.
I have 1 full set and am trying to complete sets 2-4.
    Thanks for posting the pic.

THAT is a beautiful picture! Are you a long time stacker or has it been your mission to collect so many of the older Kooks? I am clearly jealous.

Or just try to get some square capsules, or what ever year you can come over for best price and put the coins you have in round capsules in square ones. The capsules are the the only difference. The coins are the same.

hi , thanks, have been stacking for a couple of years , the older kooks are mostly the reminted ones

my goal was to get a half roll of each year, the 1990 and 1991 are original with some reminted 1991

the container they are in is actually a fishing tackle box ( berkley ) each slot holds 9 x coins

the remaing set of kooks left i have put in a kookaburra box

Like that Kookaburra box ... that's a nice display.

Just order some kooks myself. Starting small and see how things go.
