I've heard 92 1$ kooks have a low mintage. What do you guys think? If you had the option of stacking any Kookubarra which would it be and why?
Lower mintages 2004 - 05 - 06 Well worth collecting followed by 1990 then 2007 - 08 - 09 and 2010 Those happen to be my favourites to stack
i like the 2008 because of the design and the spider web. I believe this is probably why its the highest priced Kook in the 1oz coins. My Dad saw one for the first time and bought 5 of them. I told him he was overpaying but he did not care because he "liked the coin" and the guy selling them was hyping them up like crazy. I like the Kooks in the Square capsules!
Love the 2008 also If you and your Dad are such huge fans of these and looking for more I happen to have rolls of them 20 x 2008 1oz Kooks would put a real smile on his face Drop me a PM if interested
91 remints if you can find them, everyone seems to forget how little the mintage was. The demand for 08,09,10 kooks is based on nothing really.
Not really roman. The 2008, 2009, 2010 mintages do not consist of re-strikes, they were sold out in their own right. The 2008 coin is said to be the most desireable design.
Yes agree the 91 is under rated and lucky enough to snap up a few rolls of the remints but have to say when you hold 10oz 2008 Kook in your hand looking at the detai, of the cobweb and barb wire its outstanding in my humble opinion
1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007.
and how many of those 300k 91 kooks have survived in good condition? About as many as the 1990 kook. Everyone looks at numbers, no one looks at age - big mistake.
Buy the latest Kooks as often as you can. Use these to trade for lower years. As each year passes your recent Kooks become more collectable.
correct..and also the 08 was the first to sold out after the first release(1990) makes it a key coin to have in the collection.it was discussed before. but to feel roman better we can put it this way-hype over demand, maybe? the only extra with the 91 is $5 face value...but does it really matter????
