Yep off site is the way to go as we keep seeing, regardless if it's a Bunning's safe or a big bad ass number these low life's seem to be able to find a way to beat them. Sorry to hear your bad news & I hope these scum bags get caught.

MAN I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR THAT.

This is not the first time I have heard of this happening.

Remember the job done in Brisbane on NEW YEARS EVE last year. Another S.S. Member.

Is there any way that GP can help or set up a new screening method of new members etc.

I don't have the answer but there are plenty of smart people on this forum and I am sure there must be a away to help protect us all better. Now and into the future.

The only way around i can see if dont use your physical mailing address and also use off site storage ?

As mentioned in my last comment, i was pulled up on this from another SS member a couple of days ago...GRETZKY427 you shouldnt be using your physical home as a mail address as this is an public forum you dont know whos lurking around...

To be honest im a little wary about there comment to me now...hmm...

    Cheers, HAPPY STACKING :)

    Just don't use a safe!
Every one who has been done over recently has had a turtling big safe that screams "HERE I AM!"

Sorry to hear about this Kawa. You probably had the nicest collection of rare and vintage bars of anyone on the forum. Good chance that they will be melted. :(

The forensics get here in morning.I have a 1000 theories on this however it looks professional.Security screens bolt cut, alarm cut and destroyed, all phone lines cut, light bulbs popped where we had security lighting and safe was just destroyed.

Cash,Computers,Artworks,Cars etc just left as they where in house???

Cops think it was a random break in and they found the safe and came back ( who knows).
Fortunately I asked my wife to wear some of her really nice pieces overseas so they where spared.I feel sorry for her losses more so.
I have already written the bars off in my mind and have posted this in the slim hope that some may come onto the forum.

The break in may have occurred about 2 am Thursday morning in Brisbane Western Suburbs?

It doesn't sound like a random break in to me. They went to all the trouble of neutralising the security system, and they only targeted the safe. It seems to me like they knew what they were looking for!!:(

Any chance of a list or images of items taken.
That way we can keep an eye out, just incase they aren't melted and have moved state.

Sorry for your loss....but the most important thing is that both you and your wife were not home when they came back.

    Fark not again!

Nope. That's now four from memory (maybe more) in the Brisbane area over the past couple of years - and bleach has been mentioned in most of the others as well.
