Took the punt and jumped on them straight away when I first saw the preorder. Just had a gut feeling the price would not drop.

I just purchased the owl from these guys 10 days ago for EUR199. Today's price, EUR799.
WTF? I am up over EUR1000 on these coins in a week and a half.

These were the first numis I have ever purchased.
Although I am happy, I feel uneasy being a part of this game - it feels like these dealers are out to FLEECE! I think if I play this game for long enough, I will surely get burnt.
May be my last numis. Love my bars.

I am relatively new in numis collection... The way I see it, wether it is for hobby or investment, it must never be taken as a game. The pricing is always down to supply and demand e.g. The guy from Poland who has priced his Gulo Gulo at usd 2499, ural owl at usd 999 and hedgehog at usd 489, I am assuming he is down to his last pieces and is willing to part with it only if the price is right for him. I noticed tha Gulo Gulo were barely usd 300 in Sept 2011, one was sold or over usd 1400 yesterday! A case of willing buyer. By paying such price, I am assured that I am one of the 2500 people who own it and who are truly happy with my purchase. In any case of doubt, I will never pay any premium amount above spot, let alone being so far away from spot price!

If this is gonna be your last numis, you've got a seriously good ones! :)

Was it you who bought this coin for for USD1400 yesterday?

How can you take as anything else but a game with price swings like this?

I happen to watch a few sellers on eBay and it ended yesterday with the item being sold at mentioned price. Definitely not me... Got mine 2 weeks ago at below usd 800.

Price swings can only continue with demands... At the end of the day, it's the buyers who ultimately determine t he price of items, any product for that matter.

Folks, These are numismatic "works of art" I'm so glad i bought my 3 wolverines when I did. When you have only 2,500 pieces of each coin with museum pieces like these, They most likely will skyrocket. Not all coins with fewer than even 2,500 pieces will skyrocket, just depends on the piece. I wish the USA could have beauties like these. The America the Beautiful series is a JOKE. 25 cent face value of a 5 ounce coin? come on now. I'm just sorry I only have 1 owl... Enjoy the run folks..

I am the ebayer who purchased the gulo gulo for $1415 and the ural owl for $525 + $45 for shipping and handling. I have a preorder for the hedgehog for 299. Do you think I am crazy and overpaid? When I saw the designs , I felt that I just had to have all the coins in this series.
