Got myself my first PM lunar dragons earlier after scouring the local POs. I saw a RAM 1/2 oz lunar dragon proof and was wondering if it was worth buying... Also, what do you guys think about those 1/2 oz baby dragons? I got myself one because I thought they looked cute and might be worth something or might be a good gift to anyone born next year.

the RAM may have dragons but there is nowhere near the excitement over them.

My PO has about 10 in at the moment and they haven't sold any as yet. They also have the matching rabbits from last year too. Just not a big seller!

Thanks! I personally did not think they were attractive in any way that's why I had to resist an impulse buy and told myself to do some research first (ask you guys... :D)

What do you guys think of the baby dragons?

Why would you buy the RAM's dragons? 1/3rd of an ounce of silver for $55? PPFFFTTT>>>>

Not a fan of the baby dragons but I have heard a few people mention them. They seem to be marketed for kids so I guess that is why I am not that taken by them, I haven't got any and would like to keep it that way.

I am not their target market and won't be getting any as an investment. If I get stranded with them I would not be happy.

So I gather from all this that if I see any dragon proofs at the local post office I should buy them?

Does that include gilded dragons at $104 a pop?

Keep an eye out for the proof coloured dragons - I wouldn't be speculating on the gilded, they are still available at the Perth Mint. Look to see what's sold out online, then hunt those down.

Saw one of these at the main Post Office at Kippa Ring, they usually have a few of the smaller fractional gold coins in the window as well.

If anyone is after any of the coloured or gilded Rabbits from last year our local PO has them at issue price, just let me know! They are still waiting on their final delivery of dragons but it isn't loking good.

Just saw the new RAM 1oz prooflike dragon in the post office, I think he said it was about $65, he had 3 in stock. Was not that taken with it, there are still 3 in the shop.

RAM products are a flop, I can't think of any RAM product that has turned into a collectable coin
    I could be wrong here

That is fleebay ,I've picked these up in the past for around $40 (in bulk though )
And flipped them to the great Kangaroo Hunter (Redback )
I don't pay too much attention to these as what they get on fleebay
Reality check for me on these is what Redback pays for them
    $45 at most

I did say I could be wrong :D

Worth every penny, they are in a bit of plastic, and some bloke said they were really good, unlike the other 4000 which, in comparison, look like they have been through a lawnmower and will probably only be 68-69 at best.
