When I looked at this coin my instant recognition was not of a goat..........but instead a female pelvic region

BTW, if one is going to throw their Goat Skull on eBay, take a half-way decent photo so you can easily grab that $$!

And I noticed some capsules are a little jacked (mine are fine)..

If that's the case, either put it in a new one, or remove the top half for the photo, at least.

Seeing #066 makes me realise the mintage should have been 666.

Is the jury in on the first installment of the Lunar Skulls? They turned out to be well made coins after all the waiting. I am looking forward to the bullion version now.

I am wondering if we need to wait many years for the full series.

If one were to run the math, the best deal for the BU's currently on eBay is looking like PowerCoin's listing.

Would only make sense, though, for 2 or more. And the greater the quantity, the cheaper you'll get them, as the shipping will be amortized across each coin.

Looks like somebody might have already recently took advantage of that differential.

SM needs to keep the same lay-out throughout the 12 years to keep it uniform/consistent. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.. Only run the risk of turning people off to the series by trying out a new one mid-series & having it flop. It's not worth it. Maybe a couple very minor tweaks here & there, but that's it.

And as long as the future skull designs are in the same aesthetic ballpark as the Goat, they should be fine, IMO.

This has & will always be a "cult" series. Aside from the relatively low mintages & the unique concept/design, it's why they're going for the prices they are. Just the way it is.

Yes, there are nicer and/or cheaper coins out there.. But many don't have that cult following. If that doesn't make sense to somebody, then it's not the coin for them.

Anyway, given the concept, I think the series has the potential to hold our attention for the next 11 years.. Definitely looking forward to all the upcoming designs.

    Capsule is too big.

But no worse than a 1-oz Panda, really.

I'll probably switch mine over to the Air-Tite brand ones..

Glad I bought one of the proofs early, didn't buy a BU version...just might now though.

Nice pics, but I wanted to see more so I typed in " Ghana Year of the Goat " into google images ...and saw what I really didn't want to see so soon...on the second row of pics were these Chinese copies ( At LEAST they didn't attempt to copy the serial numbers )

Already being in the second row from the top in a search for " Ghana Year of the Goat " google images, means the scumbag counterfeiters are already getting a lot of hits ...damn shame their own government won't crack down on them harder.
