...and their price is based on an auction that ran for less than 2hours.

You seem a bit miffed ol chap, run the next auction for twice as long an see what happens. Just a thought.

    Maybe...maybe-not

The new release could coincide with an exhausted / fatigued 2014 lunar market (Worldwide lunar horse releases).

    or

The new release could coincide with a high or low spot price.

Where will the AUD be at the time of release?

Not dead but as expected those that flipped the earliest did best
First eBay sales were up around $130, then they dropped to $100 and now they are around $70 - $80
    Carded that is

Seems the uncarded have actually been trending up so those that bought those at much lower issue prices have done well

So perhaps it makes more sense to buy the uncarded ones in the first place?

I was completely against the carded once I found out it didn't have a numbered COA....

But it would depend based on your location.

I.e. if both are presently selling for the same price...if you're in Australia, the Carded versions may have been more beneficial to you as you don't have to pay shipping. It would also depend on how much you're buying etc. but just wanted to throw out an example.

BB, I payed $45 for mine non carded , shipping included ... you compare direct sale, so be consecutive, please, when talking to non carded ones )
three non carded worth me $135 ... what about shipping of 2 carded ones ... $15? ... so we come to $130-135 for two carded at my hands ...
    3 vs 2 - I choose 3 :)

first hype gone, I agree ... the next will come with the 2nd coin in series ... but I intend to keep my 5 coins till the last coin in series is issued ... recently sold one coin from 2003, that was 1st in series of Austrian coins with the mintage of 50000 - sold it for $500 ... so the chances are high that investment in stock horse might play pretty good in long run.

It all depends where are you buying/selling. On German eBay prices are higher. I've paid around 35 (45$) for coin, which is now selling for 50 - 61 (65$ - 80$ > US dollars, AUD would means a little higher numbers).
There are more sellers selling it as in the beginning so for sure had/have some impact on price. The price will probably get higher once next in the series is released. ;)

Or when silver go up. ;) :p

    EDIT:
worldbubble was faster for few minutes. :)

I wish they made more of those dragons...

Some animals just aren't that attractive: why buy rabbits, when you can buy dragons? I guess some creatures are more "notorious" and thus, more appealing!

I tried to flip on ebay Germany...didnt turn out so well, turned out to 15.5 Euro...and the shipping is to blame for that...costs $40 to ship to Germany from Canada with tracking...:(
