New 2015 $2 coin being released this monday, red colored coin ????

    Going for as low as $130 a bag on ebay last few sold listings. I am yet to meet anyone who has found one in circulation or at a bank yet! So much for it being a "circulated" coin. The way this has been handled by the Mint is criminal. The general public never had a chance to get one. Not even from the Mint. Couldn't even order one!

    Been to 6 banks.. All told me to come back next week.. Went back.. All keep telling me to try again in a couple of weeks.. This coin was supposed to be released 3 weeks back... Seems like these are not going to be made available to the public at all .. I was keen to grab a few or to find one out of a auto checkout at Woolies.. Seems like its not happening.. Much like the green $2 from last year... Wish the media didn't get my hopes up that these would be put into "circulation" ... Lol

    1.5 million coins all made it to market so the price is sure to drop, as for who got them does it matter ?? I didn't but everyone gets a turn so good luck to those that made some cash out of them :D those that didn't wish those that did well and then get your own reward peace of mind :D

    Prices getting to a much more reasonable level. Still if they went that quickly people must think they are going cheap.

    I had to wonder what would be the condition of the coin? It's in a bag...and everday it is away from a 2x2 it bounds to get more scratches and scratches.

    I think if you put a bag away for a few years you will do ok. The Mint bags of the purple Coronation $2 are going for well over $400 on ebay at the moment. I think the Coronation had 1 million mintage. This Anzac one is 1.5 million from memory.

    I noticed that Wynyard Coins were selling them on their online store at $125 a bag, but they sold out pretty quick. Not fast enough (damn)

    Here is the first Armaguard security roll of the Anzac $2 coin that I've seen. Love the guarantee that is given with pick up purchases. Suggests a possible employee to have that much confidence.
