That was the news I awoke to this morning. Promptly followed by labor party talking heads denying there was no leadership challenge in the works.

Sounds like she may be playing full forward for the Bull Dogs soon.

She is a reflection of the labour party machine in this decade - Mercenary, self-serving, inexperienced at government and corrupt. there isn't anyone else in the party that isn't just another version of her without the skirt. Modern Labour is a reptile pit, and they are slashing at each other. All they care about is holding power for themselves, and it is demonstrated each time they make a massive fail and the country pays the bill.

I don't know how this freak show calls itself the Labour Party and still sleeps at night. Imposters.

Penny Wong makes a lot of sense. Maybe she may make a good option.

Come on, you guys are much too harsh. There are statesmen of historical propotions in there, like...like...like Combet and Garrett and that guy from Port Macquarie who wanted the House Speakers job ... you know, an independent fella standing up for the values and interests of his electorate. Anyway, he's awesome!

When the hell did our governments descend in to such anarchy.

Bring Howard and the libs back - at least they knew how to run an economy.

I want to see Penny Wong and her Girlfriend kick Gillard out and move into the lodge, even if for a few months.

Sorry, I can't help it. The whole thing is hilarious now. I can't wait for the comedians to rip into this stuff.

Of course, the humor will disappear with Abbot pulling a Cameron.

Just what we need, another former prime minister that the hard working tax payers have to fund for the rest of their lives. What a joke our system is, at this rate we will have more former prime ministers than any other country in the world!

The sooner she is gone and an election called the sooner this country can get back to business. The fact that we are in the position we are even in spite of these parasites is testament to how good Australia really is.

I never liked John Howard for so many reasons, not the least taking us into a USA war adventure, but I have to say, (and I never thought that I ever would), I wish it were his hand on the helm now, because he knew how to run a government, how to maintain the dignity of the office of PM, and he did not pander to the weak willed around him. By no means a perfect Prime Minister, but several orders of magnitude above this government.

If we want better politicians we have to think about increasing the salaries to attract top quality candidates. $300K/year for the PM's job is a joke. I know dentists and engineers that make more than that without breaking a sweat.
