It's easy to generalize and I understand that many well meaning people do that. It's not cool though. Just because the majority of Americans vote certain leaders into office doesn't mean that most Americans agree with the policies of those elected officials. The reason: many American citizens are not allowed to vote or choose not to vote because they are so fed up with or disapproving of the candidates who are running. The other thing to keep in mind is that here in the U.S., we still have a very antiquated and stupid institution of electoral college voting. Most American's that i know don't like it and would like it to be burned in the pyre of problematic-vestiges-of-a-history-long-past.

What I think is a much better way to condemn a nation's government for policies you believe are wrong is to condemn that government or the leadership, not the entire citizenry because most times in the U.S. in recent decades, a president who is voted into office is NOT necessarily favored or approved by the majority of citizens.

Many Americans are aware of the unconscionable horrors that our leaders are guilty of setting into motion, yet many Americans are not. Some of the aware ones are outspoken about such perpetrated horrors and some of these dissidents have gone to jail for our opposition. Some have been executed for their opposition.

I have spent some time in the USA on holidays, I spent over a month driving across it. I have had a bit of experience across quite a few different parts, you know know thy enemy.

I also disagree with you saying that we cant blame the people for what their leaders do. Bloody oath we can. They elect them, they can be blamed. If it was not popular public opinion to be warmongers that they are, they would have been out of the middle east long ago and would have stopped their constant bombings and drone strikes killing innocent people long ago.

Just like our leaders bending over and grabbing his ankles for Obama has painted a target on our back that we have to wear, I can lay blame for what the Americans are doing squarely at the american people as their politicians are just like our and will do what ever it takes to win votes and will only continue alone the current course of action if it is the popular decision.

I am sorry that your experience here has been so unpleasant, I would suggest that the mods also review some of the comments made here, that certainly don't reflect the opinions of the majority of members.

This is what happens when the socialists aren't promulgating their views and the climate change crew are worn out.

    The budget still hasn't passed!
