I've been inactive in stocks for 6 months but the fire is comng back to some degree.

I've done a bit of research and today put my money down on a few stocks.

FML Focus Minerals - this is my main pick. They're definitely in the right region and this could become a world class resource and company.

BDR Beadell Resources - are more than just a junior with existing projects with exposure to Brazil and some good Australian resources. Probably a bit too expensive for the mere speculator but I think this one is a solid growth stock for the future.

MAR Malachite Resources - an interesting one especially their Conrad project. I came across this one purely by luck. An old veteran who comes from NSW showed me his ID and it had Silvermines rd. as his address. After inquiring more he mentioned that the area had a history of silver mining and that this company was hitting on promising results.

So there we are. These are my "horses" in the coming bull market :)

    Looking for others now.

I did a full system scan (fully up to date norton) - nothing....

Did you get the name of the trojan? Which security software are you using?

Trojan-Gen. The Win32 Trojan-Gen virus is a Trojan horse that is installed on your computer when you download an infected video codec ...
    using norton also.
    Activity system update 107-289.exe(trogan.gen)4th 8.39pm
    quarantined
    can't copy the report

FML has been picked by many so called experts as their gold play for 2011.

Personally GDO for me, but FML has value.

Overall 90% of gold stocks will perform very well, some better than others

Been looking at them for some time as well. I think my temptation is too great not to buy them next month :)

PS Dont know if anyone noticed, but one of the main shareholders of Beadell Res is tamtadatadam .... JP Morgan.

JP Morgan seem to be in the major shareholder list for a lot of companies i've looked at recently. Would this simply be due to the company seeking funding from this organisation hence giving them shares in exchange for funds?

Well there must be such a thing as a stocks bug. I've accumulated a few more of these and added some others!

    CCU is my next biggest.

And then the base metals urge came on. Rare earths weren't my thing, copper was dominated by the majors and not speculative enough for me at present so I cast my net wider and found that China has been restricting metals other than rare earths. Among them are tungsten and molybdenum which are plays on mining and the energy sector in indirect ways. Both are strategic metals which are irreplaceable.

So I found a few candidate stocks. The most promising:

VML Vital Metals a dual tungsten and gold play with good projects in NQld and Burkina Faso.
III Icon Resources are the closest to production of tungsten.
CYL Catalyst Metals a play on molybdenum.

So we'll see how it goes :)

I'm getting sick of losing money on the stock market.
I want to back a winner. I haven't had a decent one for a while.

Tell me about it. The two other shares I was considering and left for another time ended up today, one of them 27%!

Anyhow buy right and sit tight. I'll give them 12 months.
