This is my score. So, my gut feel is correct, authoritarianism = fascism.

It's interesting how the main stream media tries to distort the definition of fascism until people today don't know what it is. Maybe the people controlling are fascist themselves?

    My results:

I’m just the herd. Singapore is actually a centre left society. 90% of local people taking the test will get the same score.

Close to the centre, you get the benefits of both ends, and also the least of the negatives of both ends.

Since there are no right political parties in Singapore, all parties here are centre left, I don’t even know what’s the difference between right and left in the past. Still learning.

I’d prefer that label under “Neo-liberalism” to be ”Individualism” or even “Capitalism” rather than “”Libertarianism “. :)

American politics is on the whole to the right. Even the Democratic party is only left wing in disguise. You can't be left wing if the people controlling it are the wealthiest people on earth. It doesn't make sense at all. The right bias in America might be the result of the cold war and soviet union. You want to be completely opposite of your political opponent. It worked 40 years ago. The trouble is the Cold War is over, and communism no longer exists. Even in North Korea, they have adopted a market economy system.

The entire world now has a market economy system with varying degree of socialist policies. The real difference now is the vertical axis, authoritarianism vs liberalism and the world is slowly creeping upwards.

Force-based coercive rule that tramples upon the opinions of the citizens is authoritarianism. It can be left or right.

The graph above was certainly made by a leftist. All leftist communists were and are authoritarian: Stalin, Castro, Hoxha, Kim Jong-Ul, Kim Jong-Un, Mao, Ceausescu, Tito, Honecker

Fascism is indeed a left-wing extremist movement. Nazism is different and equally harmful, that's the right-wing extremism.

Regardless, the two go hand-in-hand: Mussolini was fascist and Hitler was nazi.

Communism is just as bad, it is another form of extremism.

The modern leftism is an extremist leftism and is basically the same as Communism, just that now it's emerging in the west, not the east.

In Europe, Communists-Fascists-Nazis often collaborated with each other.
Although, the 3 ideologies are different things, they have a lot in common.

In Hungary, for example, there is the "House of Terror" Museum, which is dedicated to the victims of fascist and communist regimes that terrorized the country:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Terror

The "House of Terror" was the headquarter of the fascists and later the communist.

You'd be surprised, but some fascists actually switched on to communism after the regime change.

To me they're the same coin, just different sides.

I once saw a documentary on youtube about Hitler and Stalin. They were good friends, both are fascists, and have much in common, but Hitler couldn't tolerate the existence of Jewish people in the soviet union. Stalin didn't realise that Hitler was a total lunatic so he got caught off guard when the Germans invaded.

Apparently I'm a lefty too. Pretty much the same as Ghandi. Which is unfortunate as I only found out the following information today -

Mahatma Ghandi was very frail from going on hunger strikes. He walked everywhere and had very calloused feet. He didn't brush his teeth much and had halitosis. You coud say he was a "Super Calloused Fragile Mystic with extra Halitosis

I reckon it'll be these types of questions that probably tip someone from the free-market side of the fence into the controlled economy side in this quiz. They're not as obvious as the questions around abortion, or possession of marijuana or even taxation, they're more subtle in their examination of the social and economic values we hold.

I voted 'strongly agree'. From my perspective successful businesses are successful mainly because they meet consumer demand better than their opposition. Now of course some businesses leaders are unscrupulous, but the reason why say Jeff Bezos or Ray Kroc are/were so successful is because they have made millions of people around the world happy. Bezos and Kroc actually enhanced the wealth of their customers, and in so doing, made themselves a lot of money.

So from my perspective (and the perspective of many other ancaps) is that generally, what's good for the most successful corporations is good for most of us because they're in the business of giving us what we want. :)

What in your opinion should drive innovation? or put another way, the motivation to give people what they don’t know they want?

Eh, I only needed another minute to think about it. Obviously competition and consumer insights to screen whether there is a market or not.
