First coin once again has the Proof version available for $750 but now with the "Make us an offer " option as well, and
is also offering a set of 1 Proof and 1 BU for $784.90, also with the "Make us an offer " option . The changes are somewhat dizzying...

    Maybe they are just fishing.

This coin really better be good or there will be some monumental blowback after the hype and pricing.

yep. And even though I 'only' paid 89.00, I'll be doing the blowback and razzing them, asking for my money back. LOL. I understand what dp said about financing the project thru pre sales, but I still think they could have shown something more of the real thing as a sample. The sketch has me very worried. Boy, I feel bad for those spending any more than 89.00. :/

Thanks for the info BB. it helps to know they understand the importance of getting something 'real' to show. Until then, we are in the dark, quite frankly, and I just can't get myself to make an additional investment into the coin.

When I go to the FCC site it says the proof is 149.90 the bu is 69.90 and both are 209.90. Did they change it again???

Sure appears that way. They can't make up their mind. LOL. Hope this isn't a 'fizzler.' We'll sure find out once we see the real deal.

The THANKYOU code is good for a further 3% discount on the proof or proof + BU combo.

Looks like there is only 1 set left available at US$209.90.

It could take years, post-release, to truly find out..

Scenario: Cool design for year 1; however, minting/translation could be better; mint makes design & production improvements for years 2, 3, 4, etc., all which become ever-increasingly popular; investors/collectors en masse begin to seek out relatively low-mintage 1st-year issue, despite its known lousy minting/translation, in order to complete their series collection, to-date.

The $149 price at First Coin Co. is the discounted price for customers who have purchased or purchase together with the proof, the BU version.

The eBayer with a $275 USD current bid probably should have shopped around first..

I believe the BU does come in a capsule. Also, allegedly, it will be serialized right on the coin....that may be a first....I never heard of a BU coin being serialized like that.

Is the skull in relief or is it just a flat drawing on the coin?
