Hello folks....... I'm thinking possibly of selling my ( The best of the best ) (Mongolia wolverine(s) coins), to purchase other "stuff"... They have remained in there capsules with me since I bought them... I bought my 3 Mongolia wolverines between ( Approx: Sept and Oct of last year (2011 ) ( I have the receipts, And on the receipts, The coin(s) say NEW... Even if I do handle them in there capsules, I always use cotton gloves I am a perfectionist by habit.. I would call them proof, But since they are antique silver, I would go BU...................... They are gorgeous.. I also have 1 Mongolia owl I bought from Govmint last year, And possibly 3 Mongolia Hedgehogs on the way... Highest offer(s) get 1st preference even before i put them on ebay.. I will let the room know when I have it listed on ebay...

Are you completely getting out from collecting these or just need the money? If you just need the money then I completely understand. You gotta do what you gotta do. But if you looking to raise some money to buy other coins, then I would at least keep one complete set for your collection.

As for me, I would love to take one of the Wolverines off your hands. I will PM you with offer.

Actually, that is quite brilliant.... make the sales pitch.....get everyone excited.....then sell. That is a good business strategy.

Just crazy selling tactics. Put a BIN price that is super high, but allow you to make an offer, so when you make an offer at $600, you think you got a steal and the seller still makes tons of money. But if they start selling for that high, then it is good for all those who have these coins. I just hope that the price doesn't plummet after the novelty wears off. There is no doubt that these coins are modern works of art with a super low mintage that makes them rare, but if the demand does not stay high, then the price will drop. The key is that the demand will stay high. That is what has happened with the Wolverine. Most collectors missed it when it first came out and bought the Owl and maybe the HedgeHog and now need the Wolverine to complete their set. Collectors are now willing to pay huge prices to complete these sets. As long as this is the case, the prices will continue to stay high or even rise. I love these modern rarities.

+1 knew it was price-ramping (and even said so). Too obvious with the blatant, over-the-top, repetative gushing
What happened to priceless museum pieces, huh? Never going to sell?
Told you everything is for sale for the right price ;)

I agree with you completely. The guy went on and on for weeks then he wants to sell them? Apparently he doesn't appreciate this "art" that's better than Picasso as much as he said he did. That's why I made the few comments I did towards him last week, just messing around.

Best of luck on the auction, Joe. I follow the wildlife series auctions closely and your timing is looking good. I'm waiting for my hedghogs to come in. Then I'll probably sell a complete set.

Now is certainly a good time to sell but may not be a good time to buy.
Often around a new coin release prices for coins of the same series do go up and then gradually adjust down. Blame it on hype and excitement :)

I for one, don't foresee this happening to these Mongolian series... Like I said, the theme is spot on, the mintage is low and the craftsmanship is simply stunning - life like capture, with expressions and all.

If either the owl or the hedgehog wins the COTY Award in 2013 or 2014, the price for all three will go through the roof and at that time, If i am to sell my huge investment in these series at half the market price, it will be snapped up in no time... Then I will laugh all the way to the bank.

We all have our own justification when it comes to the vast investment options we have, I have invested close to usd 20 grands in these coins and hence, have put my money where my mouth is.

    Cheers.
