    Around Martin place:
ABC bullion (Pitt st) - mostly PAMPs
Gual (new company - never dealt with - same location as ABC) - mostly generic bars
Bullion club (Dymock building) - mix of bullion coins/bars/numis
Jaggards (Pitt st) - mostly numis (if you're lucky you can find some rare stuff here - a bit pricey tho)
MR Roberts (below Wynyard station) - coins / stamps
KJC (near Wynyard) - if you don't care about value

    maybe more I haven't discovered

Mainly interested in Bullion. A good list there, been a few years since I strolled the CBD.

On the flip side of buying, does anyone know what the legal requirements for sellers of PM's in Australia are? Reason I ask is there are authorised dealers such as Bullion Bourse etc but there are also a lot of individuals selling PM's on platforms such as ebay...are they required to adhere to certain legislation eg. Anti-laundering etc or have some type of authorisation / license to trade?

Depends if they're "carrying on a business" or not. If so, AUSTRAC are very interested in their activities, particularly from 1st November.

i sold a kilo of silver on ebay and got a pretty good price. But just received a ludicrous bill for $49 for the privilege.
Is there another way to sell silver and get a good price anyone can recommend?

    (besides this forum)

Or if anyone wants to buy a perth mint kilo for the very unreasonable price of $1200 delivered, i have a few

    Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum. I've bought silver in the past when I was overseas and have rediscovered my interest in precious metals recently. I am not familiar with the Australian scene but thanks to this forum, I'm starting to know more about it! I just registered with Perth mint this weekend and was excited to buy some silver soon but after reading some more about stuff have become paranoid about precious metals confiscation and such. It may not ever happen in my lifetime but I'm just not comfortable with my assets being tracked like that. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who feels the same so what are my other options in terms of purchasing? I only purchase as a form of savings and only spend a small amount every month (maybe a couple of 10 oz bars or so).

Are there rules/limits on how much silver/gold you can take with you physically (in your carry on) outside of Australia?

    Thanks.

    Gday
I buy from a Pamp Dealer here in Adelaide
No ID required for purchases under $5k at a time
Very very low premium compared to others and can buy and take possession there and then.
They also post around the world!

Guys, use the trading forums for advertising/item requests, not this article thread.

Would anybody comment on the following options on buying and storing:

    Guardian Gold (Guardian Vaults storage)
    VS
    ABC Bullion (on-site storage)

    Cheers

Excellent post ... I have only bought from the Perth Mint, 1 kg round Kookaburra's & 100oz Silver bullion bars which I take delivery on the spot...If you don't hold it in your hand...you don't own it!
