G’day stackers,

Struck by The Perth Mint from .999 fine silver, this 2010 1oz Koala coin combines the best of both worlds — stackable bullion with genuine collector appeal.

Each coin is sealed in a beautifully illustrated official presentation card, featuring a pair of koalas in their native eucalyptus habitat. These early-year Koala releases have become sought-after by collectors and stackers alike, with many appreciating them as “collectible bullion” — still pure silver, but with that extra layer of presentation, history, and scarcity.

Issued as Australian legal tender ($1 AUD), the obverse bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, while the reverse depicts the classic young koala on a gum branch — a design unique to this year.

The 2010 release also marked The Perth Mint’s 110th anniversary, making this a particularly nice year to own.

I believe silver and gold will continue to rise over time. Yes, they may (and probably will) dip occasionally, but they’ve always come back stronger. I remember buying silver at $20 an ounce not that long ago. My rule is simple: stack consistently, take profit when you need to, and then keep stacking.

I bought most of my gold in the late 1990s when it was under $500 per ounce and under $16,000 per kilo, not over $200,000 per kilo like it is now.
