Hi, I have 6, 100 oz silver bullion for sale. What I am after is any information as to whether these Perth Mint 100’s are worth more than a bullion dealer will give me. I have posted on FB. Happy to sell but don’t know enough so as not to get ripped off and also don’t want to ask for a ridiculous amount. I have 3 of each bar. Sorry couldn’t figure out how to send a full photo from my iPhone to show the full bars.
Thank you

Are you in Melbourne ?

If so walk in to bullion now and walk out with cash to the value of spot. I think per day might be 200oz for spot. Just call ahead and ask.

bars probably do have a little more than spot value due to collectibility but how much is the question, $100-200 premium over spot maybe more. Big premiums on larger bars is generally less.

Or offer them for sale here.

Hi Timmy I can help you with one bar. I’m not quite sure about the others but here’s my take on the one I know about, using today’s spot of Silver $58.28

Resale / Market Value (Estimated Range):

Sale Type Estimated Value (AUD).
Dealer / low-premium buyer. $5,800 - $5,850
Private sale / stacker. $5,900 - $6,200
Premium buyer (vintage interest). $6,200 - $6,500+

Final Tips:
  • Don’t sell it just for melt value unless you’re in a rush.
  • Post on forums like Silver Stackers or Facebook Bullion groups where vintage Perth bars are appreciated.
  • Mention the “EST. 1899” swan logo—it stands out from newer bars.

️ Market Value (Collector & Brand Premium)
Because your bar is:
  • From the Perth Mint (highly reputable)
  • Vintage style (with “EST. 1899” swan hallmark)
  • Cast type (often more desirable than extruded or pressed)
  • Likely with serial number intact
…it can fetch a premium of anywhere from +2% to +10% above spot, depending on the buyer and condition.

Just my two bob - hope it helps
Regards, SD

Great info, thank you. Are you able to help out on the older bars as well? From what I can gather they are quite rare with the serial number on the reverse side.

- sorry just re read your post. I’ll keep searching for info on the older bars.

thank you again

sorry for the delay. I am in Sydney, will still give them a buzz and see if they can offer any information.
