Any good local coin shops around Melbourne?

Anyone have a favourite coin shop around the Melbourne area outside of the big CBD ones?

I'm still new to stacking silver here and interested in checking out some local coin shops. Places that have a bit of personality or maybe the odd interesting coin or a shop where you chat and build a bit of a relationship. Appreciate any suggestions :)

Not as many as there used to be 15 years ago when we all started out .
Back than Melbourne had the most coin shops per capita in the world , yeah shock horror .
Drew from Berwick Bullion , mostly FB based but has a shop in Berwick
And Matt from Thompson Coins + another new shop I found
Melbourne Coins in Centre rd Bentleight .
Too hard to run a physical store these days & kudos to the new blood who are doing it now .

Yeah, I was a bit shocked as there are so many in the US when I went. Melbourne seems to be concentrated into the big guys and they are pretty homogeneous:(

Last week I went into a cbd coin shop in briso where I had been a buyer for 20 years and tried to sell a one ounce gold roo. He wasn't interested, said the coin was too expensive for most buyers, told me premiums were too marginal, and said he didn't have that sort of cash on hand because most people paid by card now. Then he directed me to the big bullion house a couple of blocks away. So unless you're buying numismatics I wouldn't waste my time with the little coin shops, you can't build a "relationship" other than a business relationship where they are seeking a good profit. I think the proliferation of big bullion dealers across the city has driven these guys out of the market. Fair enough, I can sell the coin where I bought it closer to home anyway but I like to move around so my face is known.

Rough. Bit disappointing though. Guess I'm lucky to have found this place then.
