Wow .. Two months have nearly passed since our very first CBD location Melbourne Stackers Meet. It was a blast, and the venue providers have generously allocated us twice the space as last time.
We had quite a few trading tables set up, showcasing a good assortment of precious metal goodies from some of the local "Gold Precinct" retailers, as well as a few private traders (like myself) with a good assortment of precious metal goodies.
November's Meetup on Sunday the 6th is of course at the same location. The venue will be revealed by direct message to those stackers who register on this page. We will run our usual time slot of 2:00 to 5:00pm.
The CBD venue makes public transport easy, certainly much easy than parking, but all day parking is available nearby in Flinders lane at Sunday rates, which aren't usually too bad. Across the road the AOC car park (Manchester Lane) is also available on the Sunday.
As with last meetup, we will also be inviting members of some select Gold and Silver FaceBook groups along as well, and we continue to let the "silveroos" guys in if they promise to be good.
The event will include one or two presentations and of course the Auction. There will be nice stuff there for sure, and my 18 month backlog was only partly cleared out by last months event.
There will be representatives of a number of local businesses present. Given that most of the bullion dealers are so close by, we can expect our best vendor turnout yet. Better still ... If you happen to be chatting to any of them, ask if they are going to be there. Some of these dealers have never seen an SS meeting, and don't know what they are missing out on.
As always this is the absolute best time to come get yourself a bargain. Prices are stupid low at the moment. ... and if you have metal to trade/sell, you cant go wrong. There should be an XRF machine present to test stuff on the spot too.
