This is going to 3rd year for the series. Each year which will have new innovation on this series which is no exceptional for 2018 Temple of Heaven Panda 3 TOH 3.
TOH 1 innovation are :-
- the segmental fur of the panda at legs and hands with small concave to show higher relief,
- full reverse proof technology for the panda background,
- the 1st year of gold panda non fiat coin for Nanjing Mint.
There are several prototype been minted in TOH 1 for research, testing for next series and so on. You are hardly see in the market.
TOH 2 remain all above features and innovation. On top of it, the additional innovation are :-
- first seemless gap Bimetallic gold and silver panda non fiat coin as adopted by the 35th anni panda bimetallic fiat coin,
- deeper concave to get higher release vs TOH 1 (you can notice the cap is not fully fit into the non fiat coin),
- China common seal design in the non fiat coin for the "Nanjing word" in Mandarin which is uncommon for officer mint since late 1990,
- improvement on fur engraving and technic,
- more counterfeit features on the bimetallic gold and silver non fiat coin,
- details engraving technique for the rocks and bamboo leaves,
- sand blasting on temple of heaven fully to avoid white spot,
- lining proof areas within the outer layer of temple of heaven to made the high relief stand out,
- ultra details engrave on the dragon on the TOH staircase and the rooftop
TOH 3 to be disclose. New variety is tested in early stage in prototype and will apply to TOH 3. Therefore, the silver and Antique silver will minting before the non precious metals.
This weekend or early next week will start accepting pre order. The mintage is 118 silver and 69 antique silver (55 for selling 14 for mint VIP and staff).
