oh come on, 95% of people only use bitcoin to flip or hoard. So usability is not an issue for Bitcoin OR Bitcoin Cash.
The reality is as it stands Bitcoin Cash is a better system, though this can change quick if Core gets with the times.
Btw I think Bitcoin Gold comes online soon
Aww the crypto world, there is no limit to how much you can create. I still laugh when people say the word "finite" in the crypto world.

What needs to happen next is more trading pairs for BCH against alt coins on the big exchanges like Poloniex and Bittrex. BCH can not unseat BTC as the important "gateway to crypto" unless/until this happens.
The market is moving very fast at the moment, it is almost psychotic/frenzied with greed right now. This is not a good thing. If BCH moves to unseat BTC without trading pairs and liquidity on those pairs it will be a bloodbath in the alt coins. It could also be the event that breaks the BitConnect Ponzi that would cause mass carnage - ala Mt Gox.

Was about to exchange all of my BTC for BCH in Exodus to ride the rush, and then as soon as any signs of BCH slowing down appear exchange it back to BTC, but ShapeShift is down for maintenance right now and I can't do it that way now

If this is a combined miners/whales(china based) attack on Bitcoin it is going to hurt the US financial markets & the US$, it could be a VERY BLACK MONDAY..
If this is "The Flippening" then Bitcoin cash is over half way there as every raise in bcc/bch is matched by a drop in Btc.

They are going to have to do better than that. I'd expect a big press release type of announcement with a media campaign. Some kind of launch or "go live" type thing with fanfare.
Yep and that's what is happening now. Alts are getting hammered.
No one cares about Lightning Network. At this point in time it's a useless feature.
It's all happening so fast it's becoming very unstable.
My best case scenario for the coming week is :-
* Exchanges move quickly to list some alt coin trading pairs with BCH
* BTC announces a "go live" date for some kind of Lightning Network feature with fanfare
* The weekend mania subsides Mon-Tues and some of the recent BTC/BCH moves reverse
* Some kind of stability returns to markets
Worst case scenario is :-
* BCH continues its devastating run against BTC and overtakes it quickly
* Confidence in BTC collapses
* Alt coins are devastated as speculators rush the exits via the only trading pairs available
* BitConnect collapses due to being heavily invested (leveraged) in BTC
* Sentiment across the crypto sector is dealt a savage blow with a lot of newbies burnt
* MSM has a field day playing up the devastation
* A large chunk off the combined crypto market cap evaporates setting us back year(s)

What's the MSM going to say? Bitcoin is crashing and Bitcoin Cash is hitting record highs? The average person and the reporters will have no idea what to think. I don't think they will know how to cover it.
