Yes I saw that too, however, at first I was thinking 1930's maybe 15k ... as a gentleman's cigarette case in Oz would probably have come from England.
 
with government taxing cigarettes' so much it wont be long before the cigarettes' are worth more than the case.
amazing to see an item like this with so much gold, and lets not forget the hours of work in it, thankyou for the great pictures!
