Weight of round 50 cent piece.

So I have bought like 300 round 50 cent pieces. I have noticed their weight varies a bit. Most of them are between 13.1 to 13.4 grams. The wiki lists their weight as 13.28 grams. So I guess that's reasonable.

But some coins drop their weight down to 12.6 to 12.7 grams. Is that normal?
 
I just weighed 7 of them. Mostly uncleaned but a couple that have been. Lowest weight was 12.98g, 4 were between 13.15-13.25, the 2 heaviest were 13.34 and 13.51. Never stacked many or weighed them before so dont know what average is or should be.

Wear and tear will make coins weigh less and dirt and grime can add weight. The original blanks varied in weight but I don't think many/any would have been as far underweight as 12.6 or 12.7g.

I doubt any are fakes unless they look uncirculated and are badly underweight.
