Valcambi Suisse Gold "CombiBar"Slideshow.

We've got the gold and silver CombiBars on special at the moment. They're a great idea and they're selling well too.

Haha I know. They've been out for a fairly long time now so wondering how some are only seeing them for the first time.
Almost bought one of each until I worked out the premium, didn't think it was worth it. Silver won't be going high enough any time soon to require 1gram divisibility.
Nice idea for the kiddies though, if they don't lose/eat them every time!

I would like to own some as well, maybe 50gs of silver but the premium is massive

palladium ... you have to pay GST on that dont you.

If your buying that product as 1 product do you have to pay GST on everything as its not all 99.9 silver 99.9 gold and 99.5 platinum ?

I'd assume so, seeing as adding packaging to a proof warrants gat on the whole product

These look great. Surely other refineries will try to make a similar production. The divisibility, particularly for gold will become attractive to a lot of investors.

CombiBars are a patented invention of the German precious metal company ESG. They are exclusively produced, distributed and licensed by Valcambi, a swiss-based bullion bar manufacturer. CombiBars are available in different metal options and quantities.
So probably won't be made by anyone else.

Cook Island makes a silver version too -

edit: looks like the cook islands one is also produced by valcambi...

Bit of a gimmick - 1 gram thin squares of gold to pay for goods !
Why not go further and buy a book of gold leaf where several sheets would trade for a can of coke ?
After finding out that handling gold leaf would be impossible, some bright spark would come up with the idea of a piece of paper with an IOU printed on it - bit like a dollar note.

Pfft! Gold leaf? That's what the sliver combi is for (or the cookie jar of Pre-threepence)
