How disgusting. When I look at the artistic exquisites of the early Kooks, the emotional and observational power of them, and now I look at this 2013 one and the 2012 - and you can throw in the affirmative action 'deadly' coins too. Just like new houses now - devoid of soul, made from mechanical minds. Farking pathetic

Totally agree, I don't know who approved the design this year but I for one won't be buying any.We should be showcasing Australia's natural beauty not some artists childlike scribble.
Give me a 92 any day.
 
I was watching them pressing the new 1kg kook, 1st time I had seen it in the flesh. It looked great in the larger size.
 
With the lotus flowers and water in the background the feathers are supposed to appear wet as if they've been bathing. Isn't that the theme of this design?
 
I might put this up for consideration for the 2014 kook. Have to be a chance wouldnt I? :P
