Sydney Mint Mark - 1909

Hi -

I was wondering how prominent the S should be on a Sydney Mint sovereign. I'm looking at purchasing one, but it is difficult to see the S to the naked eye. Will try and post pic. To my eye it looks like a london 1909 and don't have access to a magnifier currently.

I would assume that the S is worth more than London given mintages etc.

If you are having a hard time identifying the S then the coin is probably only fine grade or lower.
Not going to really matter too much whether it is English or Australian sovereign.

All Edward VII sovereigns are common apart from the Canadian C mark.
The 1908, 1909, 1910 Sydney sovereigns are a bit harder to get but if you have the slightest problems to see the mintmark BU value only as premium applies for very high grade cons only in this category.

London: 12,157,099 (rated Common)
Melbourne: 3,029,538 (rated Common)
Perth: 4,524,241 (rated Common)
Sydney: 2,057,000 (rated Normal)

Canada: is an extremely rare coin, unlikely to come across one.
