Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake season

I've been contemplating the purchase of a 1 Oz Proof and 3 coin Proof set on release from the PM.

I understand release prices will be:

2013 1oz Year of the Snake Proof RRP $107; and

2013 Year of the Snake 3 Coin Proof Set RRP $395.

What would a reasonable price range be for these coins on the secondary market?

Cheers

Well the Dragon 1oz proof went to $450 but now down to $250
Dragon 3 coin sets are still going for $1k

Still falling - Bullion Bourse are selling them for $190 now

not real happy about that, I wont be getting mine from the mint this year :(

How can we order proof coins and 3 coin sets? (i've never ordered a coin that hasn't been released) do I need to go to the perth mint website and pre order or something?

Th dragon 3 coin silver set was issued at $379. Silver prices this year has definitely been lower than last year. If anything, the snake 3 coin set should be priced lower... surprise surprise... Perth Mint has priced them higher!

Then again, even if Perth Mint priced them at $450 a set its still going to sold out on the 1st day. Let the fun begin on Sept 4th!

I buy the secondary market - did it with discover australia and did well. Doing it with lunars and doing well too. Simple flipping, and not buying the hype! :D

Be smart...

I was not stacking when Dragons were released and went crazy last year so I would like to know where the majority of people were flipping. Was it here on the forum or on eBay, I'm thinking higher prices were hit on eBay but then you get hit with the fees. I would be grateful for some info from those who have been through a lunar bubble before as I plan on flipping a few snakes to bring down the cost of the roll I have ordered.

That worked for me too, until I recieved a couple of 'mint condition' coins that weren't very mint condition at all.
Now I buy primary.

Doubt the snake 3 coin set will hit $1k. Someone in the trading section is trying to sell his dragon 3 coins set for $900 and its still there. There is also a 3 coins rabbit set at $380 which has been there for some time already and still not sold.
