Sigma PMV on Palladium bar question

I bought a 1oz bar of palladium. It was from Liberty coin. they have a large presence and I trust them. Trust but verify. I got the bar and put it on the Sigma for Palladium. The mark was just to the right of the brackets. I received it in a blister pack welded closed. What I found was that if I put the sensor on a more flat part of the bar it read in the brackets. I did some reading on the PMB and it said lettering and other marks that are raised higher will mess with the reading. Its the first time this has happened to me. I think its OK but has anyone had this issue before? ThanksPalladium bar.jpg

PMV or XRF do not like any packaging in between the Test piece metals.
Precision measure may be throw out; best is to just Test the metal alone.

Best is buy from Trusted seller.

I use PMV small wand on all my assay packaging as you need to put abit pressure for the wand to take reading…you can’t use PMV as is, cause packaging tend to hv gap due to thick plastic border
