For Sale, a mix of decimal Silver as below.

Note edited, the coins are all 50% silver, not 92.5% (maybe 1 or 2 are pre- 1920 of 92.5%)

(Before 1946): all 50% silver
Threepence (3d) 1.41g => 4x
Sixpence (6d) 2.83g => 11x
Shilling (1s) 5.65g => 10x
Florin (2s) 11.31g => 24x
Half Crown (2s 6d) 14.14g => 3x

Total: AWS 203.57g => 6.54oz @spot = $492 => minus -5% = $467


(After 1946) Decimal: all 50% silver
Threepence (3d) 1.41g => 4x
Sixpence (6d) 2.83g => 5x
Shilling (1s) 5.65g => 1x
Florin (2s) 11.31g => 6x
(removed the Half crown shown in the image)

Total: AWS 46.65g => 1.5oz @spot = $112 => minus -5% = $107

Interesting. That's what also chatGPT says. I might be wrong, or over-paid when bought.
Now removed them from the list.

Thanks to another forum member, I’ve realised this.

“The United Kingdom reduced the silver content in its coins from 92.5% (sterling silver) to 50% in 1920. This change was made to address economic pressures following World War I, as the cost of silver had risen significantly, and the government sought to reduce the intrinsic value of the coinage to align with its nominal value. The reduction applied to silver coins such as the half-crown, florin, shilling, sixpence, and threepence. By 1947, the UK phased out silver entirely for circulating coins, replacing it with cupronickel (75% copper, 25% nickel).”
