I guess others on SS have also noticed, but the Royal Mint seems to be releasing a new coin (or coin series) every week.
 
Have they outdone the RCM in terms of number of coin releases per year? I don't know about the RM, but at least with the RCM, they actually do frequently put out innovative designs which is definitely worth my attention as a collector. I mean, who possibly couldn't just be blown away by the RCM's Multifaceted Animal Head series!
 
It seems COVID-19 has reduced the pace of RM new coin releases. For example, the release of the 2020 Captain Cook coins (3rd and final of the 3 coin series) have been put on hold.
I also notice the US Mint has frozen release of collector coins.
