It's not sickness / desease that kept personell from production.
It's the central planning club that forced production stops.
Now and then a crisis, to "evaporate" some savings on stock markets (btw they didn't evaporate, they were spent by other people), is needed to have price fluctuations and to make suckers selling back at bottom prices after having bought at peak prices.
