Physical possession of PMs vs Bitcoin

Thought I would strike up a conversation. I have been contemplating stacking as a hedge against inflation and in the meantime have been trying to understand Bitcoin.

Don't the two seem to fly in the face of each other? Physical possession vs who knows where possession? If we move to a Bitcoin currency, won't that render physical possession of PMs worthless? Or do you see it differently?

One is a speculative hedge that can be instantly transferred without the mucking about seen by replaceable traditional currencies, the other is a long term store of wealth for when the whole thing we call the economy goes up in smoke.

Both have their place and will continue to exist so long as the spice (oil) flows.

I look at it like PM's as longterm and true wealth however currently not so interesting
Whereas BTC & Alts are exciting from day to day and can make some real cash but I would fear for the long term viability once it really challenges FIAT or FIAT crashes as it's not intrinsic.

Having said that when I pull out of cryptos for more PM's in whatever time frame I would still keep 1 BTC stored away just in case it hits the $1000080 mark

Bitcoin will surely remain a choice. It is a currency and payment system (with more features to come). It provides utility now.

"...who knows where possession?" - Bitcoin requires research to understand, and you have obviously 'not touched the sides' as they say.

If you figure that gold and silver could be worthless, I'd suggest you do some further research about PMs also. I certainly won't be giving away my PMs any time soon!.
