So NGC must've heard what PCGS did and didn't want to miss out on the action.

They have created a priceguide for coins much like PCGS but the bias is even worse than PCGS (imo).

They classify the price of a 64 grade Panda as the same as RAW/OMP whereas PCGS puts it at around a 67-68 grade price.

Now we have many many price guide/sources to analyze Panda prices. Information is... panda power!
 
Still... good to see them caring enough to 'try' something. Goes to show they consider the MCC market important.

Yep it is good at least they try.

For old China coins, they just plug the figure from Krause and force it into numerical grade, which is odd. The figure makes no sense at all.

Actual market prices.

Fishball's site gives you a good overview of generic coin (panda types) prices. The CC will give you market information down to each variety and individual coin (any type) if you want.
 
Honestly I was fairly impressed with the NGC Modern Chinese Coin prices.

I did not spend a lot of time but basically just scanned through the Silver Pandas and checked the prices on 69's and felt most are decently accurate.

For such a dynamic market where price swings on any particular coin can be as much as 25% from one day to the next I felt it is a fair representation.

Using the NGC prices along with Peter's pricepedia, The Coin Compendium & fishballs new app I think a person can formulate a strategic buy/sell plan.

Nothing is perfect :)
